QR & Barcode Scanner, developed by abdDev, works entirely on your device. We don't collect your data, don't require an account, and don't share anything with third parties — matching the Data Safety details abdDev declares for the App on Google Play.
What the App accesses
The camera is used to scan codes, with recognition happening on-device via Google ML Kit — frames are never recorded, stored, or sent anywhere. Your scan history and any codes you create are kept in a local database on your device, and removed if you clear the App's data or uninstall it. If you save a code as an image, the App writes it to your photo gallery and nothing else.
Third-party services
The App includes no analytics, ads, or trackers. It relies on Google Play Services and Google ML Kit to run and recognize codes on-device; neither receives your camera data or scan content. These are covered by Google's Privacy Policy.
Your rights and children's privacy
Since we never hold your data on our servers, there's nothing for us to access, export, or delete on your behalf — clearing the App's storage or uninstalling it removes everything. The App doesn't knowingly collect data from anyone, including children, because it doesn't collect data at all.
